This profile is a comprehensive cholesterol profile. It tests for total cholesterol, 'good' cholesterol (HDL) and 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) levels. It calculates the ratio of total to HDL levels and also checks for triglyceride levels. Your cholesterol profile can be a strong indication or your risks for heart and circulation problems.

This is a finger-prick test. You will receive a self-testing kit by first class post which will give you full instructions on how to do everything.
Simply put, you will need about 5-6 drops of blood into one small tube which you then post back to our partner laboratory using our pre-paid envelope.
Your results will be emailed to you via our secure portal within a day of receiving your sample at the laboratory. The whole process is usually complete within 2-3 days – although we do have to depend on royal mail.
All results are reviewed and commented on by our NHS registered GPs but please remember that blood tests alone are never a safe substitute for seeing a doctor directly.
